After a lazy morning relaxing “at home” (in Addie!), I explored absolutely AMAZING Mesa Verde National Park! Petroglyphs, cliff dwellings, ruins, and canyons…WOW! I mean, WOW!

Spruce Canyon

Cliff dwellings – they are near the mesa’s top but hidden from view if directly over them!

Cliff dwellings 🙂

Cliff dwellings – simply amazing!

Cliff Palace (access to the palace was closed today but I saw it from across the canyon)

Petroglyphs 🙂

What a phenomenal day! Beautiful scenery, different landscapes, surprising cultural sites – started with a morning coffee walk among the red rocks. Monument Valley (arch at my campsite!), Mexican Hat Rock, Goosenecks State Park (San Juan River meandering through the rocks), Bluff Fort, Hovenweep National Monument. Ah…!  🙂

Then 3 pics of Wupatki National Monument’s pueblos. The last photo is from Monument Valley. Very busy, active, and breathtaking day! Ah…! 🙂

Plan C: it’s the journey and not just the destination. Photo #1 from Sunset Point Rest Area on my way to GORGEOUS Sedona. Guess what? I’m not the only one who wanted to visit Sedona right now! Plan A: Sedona Elks – full. Plan B: Sedona RV parks – all full. Plan C: Cliff Castle Casino parking lot – empty (photo #2)!
