Kodachrome sites: here are some of the AMAZING non-spire sites of MAGNIFICENT Kodachrome!
Kodachrome spires: these are only ten of the over 60 spires in Kodachrome State Park. Spending the past two days hiking and exploring this park has been one of the highlights of my trip so far!
Hiked along the Escalante River to see two natural bridges and a cliff dwelling. Ah…! š
Windy with magnificent views: HWY 12 from Capitol Reef to Escalante, via Boulder Mountain, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and Anasazi State Park. Addie and I are having a great time!
Capitol Reef National Park: AMAZING!
A driving kind of day with many types of scenery. Stopped to see cliff dwelling at Butler Wash and ruins at Mule Canyon. Drove scenic HWY 95 and then through Capitol Reef on the way to my campsite-with-a-view. Now time for yoga and relaxation before hiking in Capitol Reef tomorrow!
Natural Bridges National Monument! Photos in age order: youngest Kachina Bridge, mature Sipapu Bridge, oldest Owachomo Bridge. Fabulous hike, amazing scenery, beautiful day!
Lloyds Lake with Abajo mountains in the background.
After a lazy morning relaxing āat homeā (in Addie!), I explored absolutely AMAZING Mesa Verde National Park! Petroglyphs, cliff dwellings, ruins, and canyons…WOW! I mean, WOW!
Spruce Canyon
Cliff dwellings – they are near the mesaās top but hidden from view if directly over them!

Cliff dwellings – simply amazing!
Cliff Palace (access to the palace was closed today but I saw it from across the canyon)
Petroglyphs š
What a phenomenal day! Beautiful scenery, different landscapes, surprising cultural sites – started with a morning coffee walk among the red rocks. Monument Valley (arch at my campsite!), Mexican Hat Rock, Goosenecks State Park (San Juan River meandering through the rocks), Bluff Fort, Hovenweep National Monument. Ah…! š
OMG! Yes, I kept yelling out OMG all day during todayās adventures! First 2 pics: Walnut Canyon National Monumentās cliff dwellings. Next 3 pics, lava and crater at Sunset Crater National Monument. Then 3 pics of Wupatki National Monumentās pueblos. The last photo is from Monument Valley. Very busy, active, and breathtaking day! Ah…! š
Perfection.
Fun spending time with Yvonne and Amelia Earhart!
Plan C: itās the journey and not just the destination. Photo #1 from Sunset Point Rest Area on my way to GORGEOUS Sedona. Guess what? Iām not the only one who wanted to visit Sedona right now! Plan A: Sedona Elks – full. Plan B: Sedona RV parks – all full. Plan C: Cliff Castle Casino parking lot – empty (photo #2)!
Adventure time! First stop: Joshua Tree! Can you hear me oohing and aahing? š
